Sailing in Kuwait | Navegar en Kuwait

There are not many things to do in kuwait if you want to be in contact with nature but this is one me and y family realy enjoy doing with a group of friends. Even in the water in the coast line is realy dirty there are a few islands with clear blue water where you can dive and swim with out thinking of polution. There is a company called Silsan where you can rent a boat and organize a trip to one of this 9 islands that Kuwait has.  I will describe you all of them and you might choose. It is a nice plan with the kids because this boats are big enough to travel 30/35 people, you carry your foods and drinks and you can spend a realy nice day. Booking is complicated so if you are decided to do it go as soon as possible, book a date and then start calling your friends, it is easier that deciding it between 30 people. The rent fo a boat for this number of people is around 150 kd. So now pack your towel, sun cream, a jacket for the way back home and start to enjoy.
Ahora os presento las islas y os cuento las  mas recomendables para visitar, recueda dejarla mejor de lo que la encontraste (limpia);
Here you have the different islands. Remember to keep the place clean;

Kubbar
Kubbar
This uninhabitated island is well know for the diving and the beautifull beaches with soft sand. It is 18 nautical miles from Failaka.  SOUNDS GOOD!

Qaruh Island

Qaruh
Is an island which received its name from the large amounts of petroleum sediments in the area (known as Qar in Arabic). It is the smallest of the nine islands. The island is surrounded by coral reefs and is a well known breeding ground for birds and turtles. The lithology is composed mostly of medium to coarse sand with soft mud found in the southern coastal area.

Miskan island

Miskan Island
Small, uninhabited island . It is about 1.2 kilometers long and 800 meters wide. I havent found  picture but what I´ve read is that there is nothing but sand there.

AUHAH ISLAND

Auhah
It is 800 meters long by 540 meters wide . Apart from a light-house and a small heliport, the island is mainly uninhabited.

Umm Al Maradim
Ver post aqui y aqui.
Umm Al Maradim
If you have already read me before you must know that I´ve been there twice. The island has beautiful blue water and soft sand so it is a fantastic option to spend a family day at the beach. See older post here and here.

Failaka
Failaka
This island is considered one of the most important ones due to its size and due to its proximity to Kuwait city (just 30 kms from the coast) I will talk about what you can see there in a next post.

WARBAH ISLAND
Warbah Island
Total area of 37 square kilometers. The island is essentially a large mud flat.

Umm Al Namil
Located within Kuwait Bay. It is known to be the site of several archeological finds, mainly from the Islamic era, and the bronze age..

There is one missing, Bubiyan, but I will talk about it soon.

Olímpicas en Londres | Olympics in London

Spanish fashion in Kuwait | Moda Española en Kuwait II parte

As we discussed in previous post, the Spanish fashion has a big representation here. Once again, the Inditex group is in all world and markets but "Not only of Zara can the human being dress", right? Companies such as Condor have been installed in this country for a long time and that for moms like me who like the quality and variety of brand socks is helpful (in Baroue find them). Hoss Intropia is also in Kuwait (In The Avenues Mall) rather more expensive than in Spain but the truth is that it's good to go to the store and see the richness of the fabrics and skill in designing clothes. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it.  And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have  Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta
