Pink Moon

Hoy he andado liada haciendo un recadito para una amiga y en cuanto he visto que me sobraban 10 minutos y que estaba en frente del Seif Palace he aparcado en doble fila y me he acercado a ver la tienda Pink Moon que desde siempre ha llamado mi atención por lo vistoso del nombre y de su ubicación. Se trata de una entrada a la derecha de la gulf road en la city (dirección Salmiyah) que tiene muchos restaurantes y cafeterías. Ya os he hablado de Cocoa Room, el restaurante donde desayuné junto a Layla y Belén, también he tomado una ensalda en Prime and Toast que estaba bastante buena  y por lo visto es una zona que esta de lo mas IN. Bueno, total, que me enrollo mucho.... he aparcado en doble fila y me he metido en la tienda. Mucha minifalda y shorts para un país donde no se puede enseñar carne.... atención fabricantes españoles de leggings... este es vuestro mercado objetivo. Y "chandals" que no me han gustado nada. Alguna cosa graciosa pero visto y no vuelvo. Ay Nat, nunca digas de este agua no beberé que luego siempre caes.... No me han dejado sacar fotos de la ropa pero tengo el link de la tienda que tiene venta online para que os hagáis una idea de como visten aquí las modernas.


Today I had 10 minutes before running to school and as I was very close to the Pink Moon shop that I have never visited I´ve just parked in second line for a couple of minutes to see what this shop was about. Amazing Mini skirts! in this country where it is not nice to show flesh, a couple of almost nice t-shirts and horrible sports wear. Once seen I dont think I will go there again. If you 18 and have money this is the IT shop of the moment. I has online shop. 
The shop is just infront of the Seif Palace in the city in a place full of nice restaurants such as Cocoa Room (I´ve already talked you about), Prime and Toast where I eat a nice salad and some more. It seems to be the cooles place by the way!

Hoss Intropia is also in Kuwait (In The Avenues Mall) rather more expensive than in Spain but the truth is that it's good to go to the store and see the richness of the fabrics and skill in designing clothes. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it.  And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have  Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta...

Colonia Kuwaiti para hombre | Kuwait 7711

No todos los olores hechos para Kuwait tienen Out entre sus componentes. Aquí os traigo esta colonia para hombres que mis chicos adoran llamada Kuwait 7711. Yo soy alérgica al Out por lo que esta colonia, que me recuerda a mi niñez y a mi abuelo, me encanta. La compró Br1 en la cooperativa no hace mucho y le costó 1.650 kd. También me parece un buen souvenir que llevarte de Kuwait para estas navidades. Cologne made in Kuwait, throughs me back to good memories of my grand Father. It´s quite cheap, 1.650 kd and you can get it from the coop, Shamiya. I also think its a good souvenir from Kuwait or even a gift for birthdays or Christmas.

Carmen González, una española en Kuwait

Domingo 7 de Febrero de 2017 Entrevista a Carmen González Shammas, española y kuwaití por matrimonio. La historia de Carmen es una mas dentro de las mujeres occidentales casadas con kuwaitíes, pero por otro lado su historia es única. Su marido es de la minoría cristiana pero nunca se ha sentido rechazada ni observada por pertenecer a ese porcentaje tan pequeño,   aunque sus hijas si lo han sentido cuando estaban creciendo en este país.  Cuando conoces a personas como ella que llevan tanto tiempo aquí te saltan dudas sobre la forma de vivir de esta sociedad tan distinta a la nuestra. Con ella recorreremos un poco de la historia de Kuwait, sobre todo desde que en 1993 puso un pie aquí ¿Cómo nace tu relación con Kuwait? Conocí a mi marido hace 34 años en Londres mientras los dos estudiábamos. Nos casamos en  Madrid   y nos instalamos a vivir en Londres. Durante 8 años vivimos en U.K. y allí tuvimos a nuestras dos hijas...
