Arranged marriages in Kuwait | Matrimonios concertados en Kuwait

El matrimonio entre Kuwaities es la mayoría de las veces concertado o lo que es lo mismo, las familias arreglan los matrimonios de sus hijos. Dados los problema de endogamia que rodea a las familias que se casan por este sistema, es obligatorio realizar un análisis de sangre a los contrayentes exista o no relación de parentesco entre ellos. 

Aunque os parezca mentira los matrimonios arreglados están a la orden del día entre gente muy muy joven. Si tienen suerte los contrayentes se conocen del colegio o de la infancia... pueden correr peor suerte cuando se realizan los tradicionales matrimonios Kuwaities en los que las familias eligen a los novios, se ven un día y si ambos aceptan porque quieren (o porque los obligan) en cinco días están casados y conviviendo juntos. 

Otra forma es el matrimonio concertado con seis meses de margen, con margen me refiero a que las familias arreglan las parejas, se conocen unos días o meses con una chaperona de compañía y ella o el aceptan o no siguen el compromiso. A los días firman un documento matrimonial y durante 6 meses pueden estar juntos y solos, si todo va bien se celebra la boda pública, los hombres por un lado con familiares y amigos y las mujeres por otro con otras 400 mujeres y ni un hombre. Esa noche se hace público que son marido y mujer.

Esta forma ofrece mas posibilidades de conocerse el matrimonio y si al cabo de unos meses alguna de las partes decide que no quiere seguir con ello es mas fácil divorciarse aunque así como a el no le pasará nada en ella quedará marcado en su curriculum y aún peor si ha dejado de ser virgen. 

El sistema tradicional de "me gustas, te gusto, te quiero, me quieres, nos casamos ...." se usa, pero menos, ja ja ja ja.

This form provides more possibilities to know if the marriage will be satisfactory for both. After a few months and before the public wedding either they decide to go on or not to continue with it and it is easier to divorce.
