Aunque vivamos en un país costero aquí el pescado no es uno de sus bienes preciados. Como todos sabéis el bien preciado de Kuwait es el PETROLEO. Creo que poco les importa tener el mar super contaminado y no poder seguir presumiendo de las maravillosas perlas que los buceadores locales cogian para deleite de las bellas muchachas de la zona. Todo eso se acabó, el petroleo parece que les da mas alegrías y las antaño bellas muchachas con cuellos, manos y orejas embellecidos con productos kuwaities lucen ahora sus Gucci y Prada. Pero es que aunque quisieran aquí ya no hay perlas y no es solo por el expolio al mar, tambien por la terrible suciedad de este pequeño mar, Arábico o Golfo Pérsico, como quieras llamarlo. Una pena por que vivimos pegados al mar y no podemos disfrutarlo como nos gustaría, en primer lugar por que esta sucio y en segundo lugar por que esta prohibido lucir bañadores o bikinis en las playas públicas so pena de multa y traslado a comisaría.
Todo esto os lo contaba por que hoy, hemos comido pescado. Pescado local, será por que la aduana esta en huelga y cada vez quedan menos cosas en los supermercados y los grandes de la alimentación se estan volviendo locos por llenar sus tiendas. Pero mira, estaba bueno. Se llama NUWAIBI y esta a 2.390kd el kilo. Hemos comido 4 con este pescado de kilo y medio, al horno con aceite de oliva, ajo y sal.
Although we live in a coastal country here the fish is not one of his precious goods. As you all know the most important commodity of Kuwait is oil. They realy dont care about having super polluted sea and being unable to continue bragging about the wonderful local pearl divers caught to the delight of the beautiful girls in the area. All that was over, the oil seems to give them more joy and the once beautiful girls with necks, hands and ears embellished with Kuwaiti products prefer now their Gucci and Prada bags. But even if they wanted, there are no pearls anymore and not just by the plundering of the sea, also for the terrible dirt from the Arabian sea or Persian Gulf, however you want to call it. A pity that we live close to the sea and we can not enjoy it as we would like, first that is dirty and secondly it is forbidden to wear swimsuits or bikinis on public beaches or you will receive a fine and will be transfered to the station.
All this I´ve talked you about is beacuse today we ate fish. Local fish, the customs office is on strike and the food is deseapearing from supermarkets and they are going crazy to fill their stores with no national products. But it was good, indeed!. And this is called NUWAIBI COSTS 2.390kd / kilo. We ate 4 with the 1.5kilo, grilled in the oven with olive oil, garlic and salt.

vos sabes de cuando es la prohibicion de usar mallas en la playa , porque hace 7 años no hacian ningun problema, y ahora yo no tenia ni idea, estuve alojada en el safir, la playa no esta en el hotel esta afuera y me canse se bañarme ahi, y vi otras mujeres, no muchas, suerte que me entero,
