Curiosidades | Curious things in Kuwait

You are realy demanding with me, I am busy this days with little E* at home and I dont have much time to go out searching for good information to show you and the visit have decreased which make me even more nervous.
I will tell you what I did during the week, ok?
One of the nights a couple of mothers of the KG kids went out for dinner and as I am friend of someone in Missoni we went there. We eat fro the cold buffet and latter Ivan prepared a couple of dishes to highlight the block of foie that had an incredible taste. We had such a nice time that we have already decided the day to come back next september.

Guapas, ¿verdad? |  Pretty ladies, dont you think so?

Sorry!
Bueno pues aquí os dejo la foto de la sala en lila;

When I was driving back I was surprised by a purple light at the end of the road and I couldnt stop yself going to find out what was going on. It seems to be that there was a wedding going on inside this place that is only used for this kind of events. As I have told you before weddings are celebrated separatedly men from women and even in different days. More than 400 people are invited to this parties where the bride is beautifully dressed in white (as in our coutries) to look pretty in front of friends and family. Many single women coe to this parties to show off in front of possible mothers in law, as I´ve told you arranged marrieds are very normal between Kuwaiti people.
So here you have a photograph of the place;
Sorry for the picture, I did my best but it was impossible to do it better.
Pressdesigns.net
Sylvette invited us to her beautiful flat in Salmiya, it always surprise me the view form her living room... to a sale of her notebooks, I went with E* and L* and the three of us bought a couple of pretty nice things. I remeber you that she has an online shop. www.pressdesigns.net
And finally I tell you that I went back to Mubarakiya Souq to the Afgan shop to buy a couple of things for Anuski and of course I got a couple of cloths hand embroided that I have framed.

Olímpicas en Londres | Olympics in London

Spanish fashion in Kuwait | Moda Española en Kuwait II parte

As we discussed in previous post, the Spanish fashion has a big representation here. Once again, the Inditex group is in all world and markets but "Not only of Zara can the human being dress", right? Companies such as Condor have been installed in this country for a long time and that for moms like me who like the quality and variety of brand socks is helpful (in Baroue find them). Hoss Intropia is also in Kuwait (In The Avenues Mall) rather more expensive than in Spain but the truth is that it's good to go to the store and see the richness of the fabrics and skill in designing clothes. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it.  And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have  Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta
