- Zanahoria y otras verduras peladas
A very special friend of mine that has already left Kuwait has suggested me to talk about the different healthy snacks that every parent has to put in its son´s/daughter´s backpack.
Living in Kuwait makes it a little difficult for the spanish community because as you all know we love pork in all formats. There is a proverb that says "from the pig even the way it walks". So now lets make a list of suggestions:
- carrot and other peeled vegetables, tomatoes and others..
- corn (that one that comes in a can, I would season it with olive oil) a spoon is necessary.
- small burgers or home made nuggets.
- small sausages
- cheese cut in cubes.
- sandwich of chicken or turkey breast.
- sandwich of cheese.
As a suggestion I buy loafs of bread in the bakery and freeze already cut in the size for the kids and opened in the middle so that you can put the ingredient inside and when the kid opens it at school it has unfrozen.
- crackers
- chicken breast cut in cubes
- banana kept in the special box for it ( so that it doesnt spoil with the books)
- milk or juices
- water
Can you suggest us something else?

Some suggestions for the lunchbox are:
ResponderEliminarchicken drumsticks, samosas / empanadas (puff pastry is found in the frozen food section), apple wedges with a small box of peanut butter for dipping. I got a food thermos from Sultan and during the colder months I sent warm food like stew with rice, spaghetti bolognese e t c. If I'm sending yogurt I put a juice carton in the freezer to be a cooling block.
