Back to school

En el post de los coles os contaba a que colegios podíais mandar a vuestros niños. Colegios que convalidan su educación con España y donde el número de niños extranjeros es mas alto que en otros colegios del país.

 

In this post I told you about the schools where you can take your kids. Schools that validate the education at least with Spain and I am sure that many other countries too. 

 

Los horarios son casi para todos los colegios igual; entran entre las 7:10 am y las 8:00 am y salen entre las 2:00 pm y las 3:00 pm. Los niños llevan un snack sano al cole y comen en casa ¿esa es nuestra tortura, verdad madres? con lo bien que comerían en el cole, pero no, hay que idear menús todos los días de desayuno, snack, comida, merienda y cena.

 

Almost all the schools have the same time table; begin between 7 and 8 am and finish between 2 and 3 pm. Kids take a healthy snack from home and go back for lunch.

 

En todos los colegios utilizan uniforme, tanto para asistir a clase como para hacer deporte y normalmente los uniformes los venden en el mismo colegio. Los coles británicos tiene uniforme de verano y de invierno y en concreto el cole americano solo te exige un polo blanco con el logo del cole (lo venden también en sus oficinas) y ropa azul marina. Los uniformes no son precisamente baratos pero si piensas en todo el dinero que te ahorras al no comprar ropa para cada día y que no tienes que pelear con una adolescente por que te pones y que no te pones..... por mucho que sea, sale rentable.

 

All the schools require use uniforms, a little bit expensive but at least you dont have to fight with a teenager about what to wear everyday. Imagine all the money you save if you dont have to buy clothes along the year but for the weekends.

ASK obliges the kids to use a white polo neck tshirt and blue navy trousers.

Uniforms are sold at school and some of them, mostly the british ones, have different summer and winter uniforms.

 

Muchos colegios ofrecen un servicio de autobuses para los niños. Esto si que es mas barato que en cualquier otra parte del mundo aunque yo viendo como es el tráfico en Kuwait no me fío ni un pelo y voy a diario al colegio a llevarlos.

  

Many schools have a bus service that is realy cheap if you compare it to any other country but as I dont like at all the way they drive in Kuwait I rather go to school every morning to take my kids.

 

 

Los libros del cole se compran en el mismo colegio en el caso de los coles británicos y en el caso del colegio Americano (ASK) los libros están incluidos en el precio y se los van entregando a los niños, ¿cómodo, verdad?

Book are sold at school at least in the British schools but in the American School (ASK) books are included in the price, convenient, isn´t it?
