Easter Eggs in Dean & Deluca and new menu

Two days ago I had a big surprise when I received an email from Dean & Deluca inviting me to visit the insides of the shop and to watch and experiment with the cooking of Easter eggs. I was realy excited so of course I accepted and yesterday I drop by the store and met other bloggers and staff of D&D such as the principal Chef, the manager in the shop and the marketing staff that did a realy great job.

I am a frecuent customer of Dean & Deluca and it is always a pleasure to visit the shop  and buy the amazing cheeses, the spanish products and the ready to eat food cooked by fantastic professional chefs in the kitchens of the store. When you shop in D&D you are sure of receiving the best quality and fresh products and that is a guarantee of satisfaction. The staff is so friendly that it is always a pleasure to go and shop, or dine.

We went inside the kitchens and saw how the specialist in cocoa cooked the best chocolate I have ever taken. He keeps it at the same temperature (30ºC) and puts the exact amount in some molds with the shape of half an egg, then he joins them with his special trick and done. It was a fantastic lesson of cooking, I dont know if I would be able of doing it but some day maybe I give it an opportunity!

Afterwards, in the restaurant, we tried the new menu. The chef made a special degustation of arabic food and european food. A delicious Minestrone soup with pesto and cheese with a Basilic smell that hipnotized all of us. Moutabal, babaganush, marinated shrimps, marinated mushrooms, and others as appetizers, fried calamari with chinnese tamarindo sauce, japanesse food, salmon bagels and wraps filled with indian chicken and this "Iskander kebab fatayer" that is a turkish combination with beef cooked with the grease of the lamb.... delicious! I drived back home feeling realy happy, again Dean & Deluca has conquered me.

Hace unos días tuve una sorpresa estupenda en mi buzón de correo email; Dean & Deluca me invitaba a participar en una reunión de blogeros para conocer como se hacen los famosos Huevos de Pascua que están siendo un exitazo y entrar en sus cocinas. Siempre es un placer ir a D&D por que es exagerada la amabilidad, la limpieza y la calidad de los productos que allí se venden así como deliciosa es su carta/menú y su comida preparada que puedes tanto llevarte a casa como comer allí mismo. Son famosos los quesos frescos que tienen y que vuelan la primera semana, así que sin dudarlo ayer me pasé por allí.
Pude conocer a parte del personal, al chef, al subgerente de la tienda y a una buena parte del personal de Marketing que hicieron un estupendo trabajo.
Lo primero que hicimos fue visitar al especialista en cacao que nos mostró como controla la temperatura de un delicioso chocolate traido de Francia, como usando los moldes hace las deliciosas piezas que mis hijos adoran e insisten en que les compre cada temporada.
Al terminar tuvimos otra sorpresa ya que nos invitaron a degustar platos nuevos de la carta que estaban, que os voy a decir, deliciosos..... unos aperitivos típicos árabes; moutabal, hummus, patatas marinadas, gambas tambien marinadas, estos rollitos de arroz envueltos en hoja de parra.... una sopa Minestrone que quitaba el hipo y que nos dejó a todos hipnotizados, unos calamares fritos con salsa Tamarindo, bocadillitos de salmón y de pollo al estilo indio y para finalizar un kebab muy especial que mezcla varias culturas. Todo delicioso.
Una vez mas Dean & Deluca ha conquistado mi corazón y mi estomago. Muchas gracias E* por contar conmigo, espero que esta sea la primera de un montón de visitas a los restaurantes de Alshaya.
