Rules for emergency lanes in Kuwait

El diario en árabe ALQABAS publica la normativa para poder utilizar los carriles de emergencia de ambos lados derecho e izquierdo.

Izquierda: - solo en casos de emergencia

- solo en presencia de coches de policía

-45km/hr velocidad máxima

-6.30am a 9.00am en direccion a Kuwait City y 12.30pm a 3.30pm saliendo de Kuwait City
- el de la derecha solo en casos de emergencia

De todas maneras y a título personal yo no usaría jamás estos carriles laterales, he visto tantos accidentes que siempre recomiendo usar el carril del medio.

Alqabas newspaper published emergency lane rules a few days ago and Buzfairy was nice enough to translate them into English.

Rules for using the emergency lane in Kuwait:
– Left emergency lane only
– Only if police cars are present
– Right one still just for emergency services only
– 45KM maximum speed
– 6:30AM-9:00AM into the city and 12:30PM-3:30PM out of the city
– Specific instructions regarding our 3 main highways – King Abdulaziz: from 3rd to 6th ring roads – King Fahad (road 40): from 1st to 6th ring roads – King Faisal: from 4th to 6th ring roads

Although this does help ease congestion slightly I think they could have improved on the idea by turning the emergency lane into a carpool lane. That would have helped ease traffic even further.

Llevo varios días viendo la misma campaña de publicidad de la revista Marie Claire y ha sido mi hijo A* el que me ha contado que la prota era una de las dos mujeres que han representado a Kuwait en las olimpiadas de 2012 en Londres. Seguro que habéis visto su video del making off en NYC en todas las pantallas del país, y digo pantallas por que aquí la publicidad por todas partes se ofrece en movimiento a través de pantallas de tv (Leds, supongo). La moza tiene 18 años y mide 1.82 mts así que podría dedicarse a esto si con la natación o la universidad donde ha empezado este año no le va bien. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it. And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta

Concierto al aire libre en Bayt Lothan Nov 2013

El 20 de Noviembre en Bayt Lothan ( al lado de Marina Mall) concierto al aire libre. Las entradas cuestan 10kd si las compras por anticipado y 12kd si te gusta el riesgo y quieres pagar mas y encontrar sitio. Mas información aquí . Por lo que me dijeron el año pasado estuvo genial, concierto sobre peras-sofa, ambiente único en Kuwait.
