Misas católicas en español | Catholic mass in Spanish

Hoy hemos asistido a la primera misa católica en español que se oficia en Kuwait. Gracias al empeño de Gabriel Alou y Eva Fernández lo que empezó como una idea ha terminado con éxito en una reunión de unas 50 personas en la Catedral de Kuwait en Kuwait City con comunión y todo. El cura pertenece a la Nunciatura de Kuwait y a pesar de ser Rumano habla un español perfecto por que estudió unos años en Barcelona y ha vivido muchos años en Italia, así que animo a todos los católicos de habla hispana a acompañarnos cada sábado a las 11am en la sala Holy Mary. Después aperitivo, aceitunas, rabas, patatas bravas y una cervecita, ja, ja, ja, ya nos gustaría.


Tambien hay catequesis para los niños los viernes de 9.15 am a 10.15 am, ¡menudos madrugones me esperan con tres niños!. ¿Nos vemos el sábado que viene?



Today we have attended to the first Catholic mass in Spanish. The priest belongs to the Nunciature of the Vaticano. He is Romanian and he speaks very good Spanish because he lived in Barcelona quite a while and some more years in Italy. If you are Catholic, speak spanish and want to join us we will be in the Holy Mary Hall every saturday at 11am.
There is also catechism for kids every friday from 9.15 am to 10.15 am. See you next saturday?

As we discussed in previous post, the Spanish fashion has a big representation here. Once again, the Inditex group is in all world and markets but "Not only of Zara can the human being dress", right? Companies such as Condor have been installed in this country for a long time and that for moms like me who like the quality and variety of brand socks is helpful (in Baroue find them). Hoss Intropia is also in Kuwait (In The Avenues Mall) rather more expensive than in Spain but the truth is that it's good to go to the store and see the richness of the fabrics and skill in designing clothes. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it.  And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have  Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta...

Colonia Kuwaiti para hombre | Kuwait 7711

No todos los olores hechos para Kuwait tienen Out entre sus componentes. Aquí os traigo esta colonia para hombres que mis chicos adoran llamada Kuwait 7711. Yo soy alérgica al Out por lo que esta colonia, que me recuerda a mi niñez y a mi abuelo, me encanta. La compró Br1 en la cooperativa no hace mucho y le costó 1.650 kd. También me parece un buen souvenir que llevarte de Kuwait para estas navidades. Cologne made in Kuwait, throughs me back to good memories of my grand Father. It´s quite cheap, 1.650 kd and you can get it from the coop, Shamiya. I also think its a good souvenir from Kuwait or even a gift for birthdays or Christmas.

Palestinian Culture Center www.palestinianculture.org Pincha aquí / click here para ver la ubicación del evento  Este era de mis planes favoritos cuando vivía en Kuwait, me han enviado la información del evento e inmediatamente he pensado en compartíroslo, ya que compartir es de guapas, como dice La Vecina Rubia.  No dejéis de comprar una de sus piezas de cerámica pintadas por mujeres Palestinas en exclusión, refugiadas y con vidas muy muy difíciles. Las aceitunas, los dulces y las galletas saladas eran mis favoritas.  This was one of my favourite plans while living in Kuwait. This association helps women in social exclusion living in as refugees in Lebanon, don´t miss the exhibition and please buy one of the fabric pieces or handpainted pottery. And try their olives or biscuits... love them.
