Domingo 7 de Febrero de 2017 Entrevista a Carmen González Shammas, española y kuwaití por matrimonio. La historia de Carmen es una mas dentro de las mujeres occidentales casadas con kuwaitíes, pero por otro lado su historia es única. Su marido es de la minoría cristiana pero nunca se ha sentido rechazada ni observada por pertenecer a ese porcentaje tan pequeño,   aunque sus hijas si lo han sentido cuando estaban creciendo en este país.  Cuando conoces a personas como ella que llevan tanto tiempo aquí te saltan dudas sobre la forma de vivir de esta sociedad tan distinta a la nuestra. Con ella recorreremos un poco de la historia de Kuwait, sobre todo desde que en 1993 puso un pie aquí ¿Cómo nace tu relación con Kuwait? Conocí a mi marido hace 34 años en Londres mientras los dos estudiábamos. Nos casamos en  Madrid   y nos instalamos a vivir en Londres. Hace unas semanas se puso en contacto Carlos Benito de el diario "El Correo" para hacerme unas consultas para un reportaje que estaba preparando sobre Kuwait y aquí os lo dejo PINCHA AQUI .  La entrevista que Carlos me hizo no esta incluida al completo y quiero añadir que no todo es negativo aquí ni nada por el estilo; hay muy buena gente trabajadora y de enorme corazón y además a mi marido y a mi nos ha dado la oportunidad de trabajar y poder pagar un buen colegio para nuestros niños así que felices de estar aquí. Por otro lado en este blog se refleja mi opinión sobre el país que no siempre coincidirá con la realidad y mi ánimo en ningún momento es el de ofender a nadie.  Lo siento si en algún momento lo hago. 1.Eres muy joven para dedicarte profesionalmente a la pintura ¿de donde viene esta pasión? Pues la verdad es que viene de hace tiempo, desde que tenía 7 años decidí que la pintura era lo que me gustaba y a lo que me quería dedicar, lo tuve muy claro y desde entonces pues he estado siempre intentando mejorar, y he tenido la suerte también de que mi familia me ha apoyado, no todos los artistas tenemos esta suerte. 2.Parece que no solo pintas si no que también fotografías ¿Pronto te veremos con esculturas? Carmen González Shammas is a spanish designer married to a Kuwaiti with too many concerns as to stay home crocheting. Always thinking in what to do and with many ideas in her mind a couple of years ago decided to start designing with her close friend Sawsan Ashkanani the type of bags they couldnt find in the shops in Kuwait. Due to their travelling they were able to gather many kind of special materials that with their good taste turn to be marvellous bags.
