Exposición de fotografía -- Casa Arabe --- Kuwait

Queridos amigos:

Nos complace invitaros a la inauguración de la exposición “De Qurtuba a Córdoba”, el domingo día 29 de noviembre a las 19.00 horas, en el Centro Cultural “Americani” (ver mapa https://goo.gl/maps/QzifGk4gpH72).

Se trata de una exposición de fotografías organizada por Casa Árabe, que ha visitado varias ciudades españolas y varios países árabes. Participarán en el acto inaugural el Director de Casa Árabe, D. Pedro Villena, y D. Eduardo Manzano, investigador del CSIC y uno de los principales expertos españoles en la historia de Al Andalus.

Al final del acto, sobre las 20.00h, habrá una pequeña recepción.

Dear friends,

We are very pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “From Qurtuba to Córdoba”, on Sunday November 29^th, 7.00 PM, at the Americani Cultural Center (see map https://goo.gl/maps/QzifGk4gpH72).

It is a photo exhibition organized by Casa Árabe, which has toured several cities in Spain and several Arab countries. The event will include the participation of Mr. Pedro Villena, Director of Casa Árabe, and Mr. Eduardo Manzano, researcher at the Higher Council for Scientific Research and one of Spain’s leading experts on the history of Al Andalus.

Please do not hesitate to share this invitation with your friends. The event will be in English.

After the event, around 8.00PM, there will be a short reception.

Spanish fashion in Kuwait | Moda Española en Kuwait II parte

As we discussed in previous post, the Spanish fashion has a big representation here. Once again, the Inditex group is in all world and markets but "Not only of Zara can the human being dress", right? Companies such as Condor have been installed in this country for a long time and that for moms like me who like the quality and variety of brand socks is helpful (in Baroue find them). Hoss Intropia is also in Kuwait (In The Avenues Mall) rather more expensive than in Spain but the truth is that it's good to go to the store and see the richness of the fabrics and skill in designing clothes. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it. And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta...

Colonia Kuwaiti para hombre | Kuwait 7711

No todos los olores hechos para Kuwait tienen Out entre sus componentes. Aquí os traigo esta colonia para hombres que mis chicos adoran llamada Kuwait 7711. Yo soy alérgica al Out por lo que esta colonia, que me recuerda a mi niñez y a mi abuelo, me encanta. La compró Br1 en la cooperativa no hace mucho y le costó 1.650 kd. También me parece un buen souvenir que llevarte de Kuwait para estas navidades. Cologne made in Kuwait, throughs me back to good memories of my grand Father. It´s quite cheap, 1.650 kd and you can get it from the coop, Shamiya. I also think its a good souvenir from Kuwait or even a gift for birthdays or Christmas.

Palestinian Culture Center www.palestinianculture.org Pincha aquí / click here para ver la ubicación del evento Este era de mis planes favoritos cuando vivía en Kuwait, me han enviado la información del evento e inmediatamente he pensado en compartíroslo, ya que compartir es de guapas, como dice La Vecina Rubia. No dejéis de comprar una de sus piezas de cerámica pintadas por mujeres Palestinas en exclusión, refugiadas y con vidas muy muy difíciles. Las aceitunas, los dulces y las galletas saladas eran mis favoritas. This was one of my favourite plans while living in Kuwait. This association helps women in social exclusion living in as refugees in Lebanon, don´t miss the exhibition and please buy one of the fabric pieces or handpainted pottery. And try their olives or biscuits... love them.
