Pantomime Aladdin

ALADDIN – December 12th/13th/14th

Aladdin-panto-pr.posterIt’s almost time – “Oh yes it is!” and we are oh so excited about pantomime season as it is one of our favourite times of the theatrical year.
This year SIK brings the magical “Aladdin” to the stage at the beautiful 400 seater, Performing Arts Centre, at TES, Salmiya. A wonderful venue for panto as audience participation is just infectious and the larger the crowd the more fun everyone has at a pantomime.
Tickets for the limited run WILL sell out fast so book early. Performances open on Thursday December 12th at 7.30pm show, with another 7.30pm performance on Friday 13th. On Saturday 14th there will be two performances, at 12 noon and 4pm.
Come as a family, come as a group of colleagues, come with friends – just come! Panto is the ultimate treat to get you in the mood for the festive season. A huge amount of fun for everyone from 4  – 94. It’s the feel good show of the year full of music, comedy and good vs evil.
Will Aladdin, (Sarah Charlesworth),  be outsmarted by his evil Uncle Abanazar, (Yousef AlObaid), or will he win the hand of his Princess, (Stacey Fitzpatrick), with the help of  his mum, Dame Widow Twankey, (Tim Waddell), and his brother, Wishee Washee,  (Chris Greenfield).
An all star ensemble cast makes up this year’s show and we guarantee you that Aladdin will be the biggest, brightest panto in town. Don’t miss out!

Spanish fashion in Kuwait | Moda Española en Kuwait II parte

As we discussed in previous post, the Spanish fashion has a big representation here. Once again, the Inditex group is in all world and markets but "Not only of Zara can the human being dress", right? Companies such as Condor have been installed in this country for a long time and that for moms like me who like the quality and variety of brand socks is helpful (in Baroue find them). Hoss Intropia is also in Kuwait (In The Avenues Mall) rather more expensive than in Spain but the truth is that it's good to go to the store and see the richness of the fabrics and skill in designing clothes. I have a dress that once landed in Bilbao I'll see if I can still find it and buy it.  And we are also fortunate to have Adolfo Dominguez (also in The Avenues Mall) the store is huge and has the entire collection including U the young brand. Something I realy miss is a good brand of Spanish Shoes with good prices. We are lucky to have  Pretty Ballerinas and from time to time Casta...

Palestinian Cultural Center Exhibition

This was one of my favourite plans while living in Kuwait. This association helps women in social exclusion living in as refugees in Lebanon, don´t miss the exhibition and please buy one of the fabric pieces or handpainted pottery. And try their olives or biscuits... love them.
