Starting next Saturday November 2nd,  @PLTQ8 is co-founding Kuwait's first large artisanal farmer's market with @OvenExperiments named Qout Market, from the old Arabic word for 'food'.  It will be one time a month, on the first Saturday of every month (weather permitting) throughout the growing season from November to April, 10am-10pm. One World Actors Centre CIC presents “The Woman in Black” Local Published on  October 29th, 2013 |  by Caesar (ENGAGE) One World Actors Centre CIC is proud to present its theatrical production of ‘The Woman in Black’ at Box Hill College Kuwait from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 October. There will be three performances, starting at 7.30pm on each day. Proud and solitary, Eel Marsh House surveys the windswept reaches of the salt marshes beyond Nine Lives Causeway. Arthur Kipps, a junior solicitor, is summoned to attend the funeral of Mrs Alice Drablow, the house’s sole inhabitant, unaware of the tragic secrets which lie hidden behind the shuttered windows. Years later, as an old man, he recounts his experiences to an actor in a desperate attempt to exorcise the ghosts of the past. The play unfolds around the conversations of these two characters as they act out the solicitor’s experiences on Eel Marsh all those years ago.

No os había contado que hace dos semanas nos fuimos toda la familia a India, a la región de Kerala. Un sitio precioso, verde y mas verde. Recomendable 100% aunque el viaje a Allepey para el house boat yo me lo saltaría y me haría esa misma noche de house boat pero en Kumarakum. House Boat en Allepey.  Munnar, ¡¡¡Cuidado con los elefantes sueltos!!! Puesto de venta de cocos Misa en una iglesía de mas de 500 años en Allepey Precioso arreglo floral en Kumarakum. Es medio coco con orquideas.

He estado en Doha este fin de semana para asistir a una preciosa entre un Libanés-Español y una Sudanesa. Ha sido precioso, no entro en detalles porque pertenece al ámbito privado de los novios, pero si puedo deciros que ha sido algo que espero no olvidar en mucho tiempo. No solo de bodas iba el fin de semana, también he tenido la oportunidad de visitar el souq, el Museo de Arte Islámico y la exposición "Relics" de Damian Hirst. He vuelto encantada de la vida y puedo decir I LOVE DOHA. I´ve been to Doha for the weekend I a come back very impressed by the city, the people and the good work they are doing to make Doha the next capital of the world.  I had the chance to visit the fantastic Islamic Museum and the Damian Hirst "Relics" exhibition such as the Souq with all those small and cosy shops, the cafes and a really good italian restarant Dolce Vita. I need more time off to visit this beautiful city

Cada par de meses me gusta darme una vuelta por la Galería Tilal en Shuweihck y ver que es lo que se cuece en cuanto a moda y arte. Me tomo un espresso en la cafetería Colors del centro y recorro las tiendas sin prisa y con los ojos bien abiertos. Esta vez no he podido subir a la galería, había demasiadas novedades así que tendré que volver pronto. Han abierto varias tiendas de moda y decoración, sobre todo una de ropa de cama me ha encantado; Haremlique Boutique que es una franquicia turca con unas cosas preciosas. En Haifa las clásicas telas de Liberty que me encantan pero que a 11kd/m y de medio ancho me parecen carísimas, en 4, donde liquidan la ropa de temporadas anteriores de una tienda de moda súper moderna y donde puedes encontrar joyitas hasta con el 90% de descuento sobre su precio inicial. En The Valley L.A. ropa de USA a precios razonables..... muchas cosas interesantes que para mi ávida de saber mas y mas es un placer descubrir para mas tarde contaros. En Terracota

Con lo de todo a 100 todos sabemos a que nos referimos, esas tiendas en España de los chinos donde cuando teníamos la añorada peseta comprabamos cualquier antojillo por 100 rubias. Las cosas fueron cambiando y al llegar el € pasamos de todo a 100 a todo a 1€, ¡¡¡horror!!! el valor adquisitivo de los españoles bajó tanto que seguimos sumerguidos en una terrible crisis. Pero no hablemos de tristezas y si de cosas bonitas. En el City Center de Salmiyah hay un todo a 100 japonés. Está dentro del supermercado al lado de la ropa y allí puedes encontrar de todo; desde vajilla japonesa o internacional, juguetes para los niños, accesorios para la cocina, chubasqueros por si viajas a Asia donde hace calor pero también llueve,.... de todo. Hola a todos, La comunidad hispana católica de Kuwait organiza el 7 de Diciembre en la Catedral De Kuwait una comida y venta benéfica para recaudar fondos para construir la nueva Catedral de Bahrein. Desde aquí quiero pedir vuestra colaboración para el rastrillo. Necesitamos que nos regaléis aquellas cosas en buen estado que no necesitéis pero tampoco queráis tirar a la basura, lamparas, libros, jarrones, cosas de decoración, bicicletas que se han quedado pequeñas, juguetes etc.... todo lo que se os ocurra que se puede vender en un rastrillo. No es el momento para ropa ya que para eso hay otras ONG, ni para cosas rotas o incompletas porque la idea es vender vuestras donaciones y sacar beneficio por ellas. 20 de Octubre y 25ºC esta mañana. Esto va cogiendo mejor forma. Es mi cuarto año en Kuwait y este buen tiempo no fue la tónica años atrás así que a seguir celebrando la calle, el buen tiempo, que no hay tormentas de arena y hoy en concreto la recepción de la Embajada de España en el Regency.  Como el 12 de Octubre estábamos de fiesta religiosa por aquí (Eid Al Adha; el sacrificio del cordero para compartir entre familia, tios, primos y demás y gente pobre. Es la segunda fiesta mas importante después de la celebración después de Ramadám,  ya os hablé de este festivo aquí ) la Embajada de España decidió retrasarla nuestra celebración por el día nacional a hoy 20 de Octubre, nos vemos allí a las 19.30hrs.
